Fire Lillies (2014)

Adelaide Fringe Festival
The Royal Croquet Club, Victoria Square, Adelaide, South Australia

The recipient of a Helpmann Academy travelling scholarship, Victor travelled to San Francisco to work with the Flaming Lotus Girls — a volunteer-based collective internationally recognised for monumental fire and metal installations at Burning Man. As a member of the collective, Victor worked on Xylophage (2013), a large-scale interactive installation at Burning Man, Black Rock City: a dreamscape of giant fire mushrooms, 24 participant-controlled flame effects, and a fire-ringed tree stump 18 feet tall.

Fire Lillies was the direct result — bringing those skills home to South Australia for the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
